PROJECT ACTIVITIES – 2018

 

October 2018

All partners’ coordinator prepared a panel that included partner countries flags on inside and outside the school’s wall. All partners coordinators formed a project team, project action plan at their schools. All coordinators advertised about the approved project on their school’s webpage. All coordinators prepared Erasmus+ Board at their schools. In this Erasmus+ Board, all coordinators published the project activity list, time of the project meetings, the selection criteria of the students.

The first project duty was preparing the project logo contest. All coordinators informed the students about the criteria of choosing the Logo. Students prepared logos by using their 21st century skills.

The project logo will be chosen in the first meeting with voting. The selected logo will be used in the websites and document presentations related to the project.

 

November 2018

 All the project countries coordinators gave information letter about the project to all the local newspapers. They wrote an article about the project aim, activities, partner countries, the expected results of the project, the implementation activities for publishing in the local newspapers. All coordinators organised information meetings for their students, parents, teachers. All the project countries coordinators will did information meeting with all the directors of institutions that is connected with the project aim like art and culture institutions. All the project countries coordinators prepared leaflets about the project and distrubute to all the local people, other schools, teachers, students, all the authorized persons in their region.

  

First mobility: Tarsus, Turkey

 

November 24, 2018

As part of the Erasmus+ Project, we departed from Zagreb by plane to Istanbul, where we spent a couple of hours waiting for the connecting flight to the Turkish city of Adana. We arrived at Adana in the evening and we were all welcomed by the hosts who took our students to their homes.

November 27, 2018

On Tuesday morning we headed for Cappadocia, a a historical region in Central Anatolia. We traveled there by bus and visited some of the most interesting locations. We also had the opportunity to ride camels, we enjoyed panoramic views, drank Turkish tea and Turkish coffee and bought a variety of souvenirs. In the towns Cave and Ürgüp we had the chance to see cave dwellings, rocks that eroded into hundreds of spectacular pillars and minaret-like forms, as well as fairy chimneys. We also visited different workshops, e.g. pottery and carpet workshop and we also visited a local winery because Ürgüp is in the heart of the wine-producing region. We finished our day with an amazing traditional dinner experience in Cappadocia.

November 28, 2018

On Wednesday we visited Mersin, a Turkish city located next to the Mediterranean Sea. After a short stroll along the sea we enjoyed the sun and in the afternoon we spent in the nearby shopping center.

November 29, 2018

On Thursday we stayed in school. The students were in the Physics class, while the teachers had a meeting with the teachers from partner schools. Then there was the selection of logos and the logo made by our student from Croatia won the first place. We spent the afternoon in a park where our hosts prepared a barbecue, we walked by the lake, listened to Turkish songs, played different games. The students spent the evening in the host houses and the teachers were hosted by the coordinator.

November 30, 2018

On Friday the students and the teachers joined the Robotics lesson. We saw different robotic inventions and 3D printers. We also attended Mathematics lesson. We solved math tasks and socialized with classmates. In the afternoon we had a spare time and some went to the Zoo while others hung out together with hosts in pastries or shopping centers.

December 1, 2018

We said goodbye to our hosts and started our journey back to Croatia.

December 2018

All the partner countries coordinators organised a start-up meeting in their schools. They discussed all duties, timetable, learning-teaching-training activities in this start- up meeting. A member of Erasmus team published the project summary and project activities on the school’s panel and webpage. And this teacher gave  the copies to the responsible teachers. 

All participants presented the project on parents and teacher meetings.
